Episode 1: What is the importance of Muharram & Ashurah

Asalaamu Alaikum,

With the Grace & Blessings of Allah (swt), Deen One is dropping our first Podcast on Muharram & Ashurah.  We all know the  month of Muhurram  comes with many blessings and opportunities including the day of Ashurah. As leaders of tomorrow let’s understand the significance of the month and the lessons from Islam of Justice, struggle and sacrifice. We can use these learning in understanding and taking of actions in light of the situation on the Ummah today.

Now about D1 Podcast format– The Podcasts will cover a variety of current issues and obstacles that Muslim students face today.  News stories, trends, and common questions about Islam, etc.  D1 has assembled its team of high school and college students to create this podcast series for you. Keep in mind, all topics are thoroughly researched and answers are developed solely on the basis of Islam with clear evidences from Qur’an and Sunnah.

Cut us a little slack as we smooth out some blemishes in production and bring our listeners the best and most power-packed informative content.   Speaking of which, each episode will only be about 10-15 minutes long so you can listen on the go (i.e. car /public transport ride, working out, or while studying/working).  We’ll always provide references upon request as we will constantly look for your feedback.
